How does a heat pump work and is it the right choice for your pool?
A heat pump uses nature's "free heat" from the air to heat your pool water. It applies the same principal used in refrigerators and air conditioners with technology adapted to pools and spas. A heat pump can even pull residual heat from cool air. Electricity is only needed to transfer the heat, not to create it! It is significantly less expensive than gas or electric heating. We recommend installing a heat pump if you want a hot pool 365 days a year and/or if you're not solar feasible.
